Everyone knows Sarku has amazing food that's not what this is about, the people that work the counter are awful they are rude to everyone and make no attempt to even give the extras that you paid for. It's kind of crazy that any of them remain employed Everyone there is so eager to be rude to you it's really just their food that they're banking on.

Went in today to grab some food after the gym . Asked for chicken teriyaki double meat and did not receive the double meat that I asked for . On top of that customer service is horrible it’s a bunch of Hispanics at a Japanese place that don’t speak a lick of English so whenever you ask for a correction of something , every cook in the back looks confused and directs you to the cashier to have a conversation . Also when you ask for fresh meat like I asked today . They will lie to you and say the meat is fresh just to avoid cooking more meat . The quality overall was not a great experience. You’re paying almost $15 for food that’s not enough and the service and quality is just not there .

I've been a loyal customer of Sarku since 2004, but I’ve noticed a significant decline in customer service recently. On April 11, I had the worst experience I've ever encountered. I always request my chicken to be well done, which has never been an issue in the past. However, the chicken I received was burnt. When I brought this to the staff's attention, they claimed I requested it burnt and began raising their voices, saying, "Would you like it if someone told you that you were doing your job incorrectly?" Fast forward to April 14, when my dad visited the same location and encountered the same disrespectful staff. He ordered two chicken teriyakies and was told they wouldn’t cook them well done because "his family" had complained about well-done orders, despite him not being present during the previous incident. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I hope the management addresses these issues to improve service for loyal customers.

Food is good but the workers are rude and don’t like when you ask for fresh chicken. They try to give you chicken that’s been sitting out for who knows how long. Went again 11/11/25 and the service was even worse. Paid for extra chicken and did not receive it and when I tried to tell them they got really upset and tried to say I didn’t pay not pay for extra. Once I showed them I did they told me that they already gave me extra chicken. Tried to give the benefit of the doubt but this will be my last visit.

I’m a frequent customer of this shop because I used to work in the mall when Sears was still there and love the food. Tonight, I was given about half the amount of Chicken that I normally receive and watched another person ahead of me receive the normal amount. When I asked, I was told by the person at the register in the picture that the customer in question worked in the mall currently and was a VIP because of that, and received special treatment for that.
